JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD — The Air Force says two more cargo planes from Joint Base Lewis-McChord are being put to use Tuesday in airlifting assistance to parts of the East Coast stricken by superstorm Sandy.
The C-17 Globemasters are delivering passengers, supplies and equipment from the Bonneville Power Administration to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey.
Lewis-McChord C-17s also carried utility vehicles last week to an air base in New York.
