DARRINGTON -- Police activity at the Darrington cemetery last week involved someone who needed medical help.

A Snohomish County sheriff's deputy was called to the cemetery about 8 a.m. Nov. 8 for reported suspicious activity, sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Monday.

The deputy contacted a man at the scene. He reportedly was digging at a grave site. The man was detained and taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Additional details weren't available.
