Office space

Office space

It all balances out: America's supervisors spend about 17 percent of their work hours dealing with poor-performing employees, says a report from a staffing firm.

That sounds like a lot -- until you consider that America's workers spend roughly 65 percent of their work hours complaining about poor-performing supervisors.

For sale: Vacant lot in prestigious, very secure Chicago neighborhood. Next-door neighbors currently living in Washington, D.C. That's right -- for an asking price of $899,000, you could live next door to the Obamas.

Perhaps Mitt Romney, who already owns homes in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and California, could use a crib in the heartland of America. In 2017, he could run against Obama for the presidency of the neighborhood association.

What retirement? Many older Americans are returning to the work force, either to supplement depleted nest eggs or simply to ward off boredom.

One Florida man is starting a delicatessen at age 82. It'll be a special kind of eatery: Every item on the menu will be an early bird special, and you'll tip six bits if the service is really good.
