Thanksgiving holiday alters bus schedules

Community Transit will not operate buses on Thanksgiving Day and Sound Transit buses will run on a Sunday schedule on the Nov. 22 holiday.
Also closed on the holiday will be Community Transit's RideStore at the Lynnwood Transit Center and customer service phone lines.
On the day after the holiday, Community Transit local buses will operate on regular schedule, but downtown Seattle commuter service will be limited to Routes 402, 413 and 421. Commuter service to the University District will be limited to Route 855.
Community Transit RideStore hours on Nov. 23 are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and customer service phone lines will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Also Nov. 23, buses in Seattle will be rerouted to Second and Third avenues from 8 to 11 a.m. for the Macy's Holiday Parade and from 4 to 6:30 p.m. for the Westlake Center tree-lighting ceremony. Rerouted buses will serve King County Metro Transit bus stops.
Sound Transit will go back to a regular schedule Nov. 23. Sound Transit Routes 510, 511 and 513 will be rerouted to Second and Third Avenues during the parade and tree-lighting ceremony.
