We will never know the truth, as to why the CIA chief quit his job. Why? The CIA doesn’t tell the truth. Never has or will. They are built on cover-ups.
General Petraeus threw himself under the bus to protect the White House, because of the pending investigation on the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The CIA had to invent a reason to prevent Petraeus going in front of Congress and telling the whole story. The CIA knew the investigation was on the way. Protect the elected President, somehow. Stop Petraeus so he does not go in front of Congress and the American people.
You’re going to tell me, this guy quit this CIA job because of a extramarital affair? Maybe Paula Broadwell should have “covered-up” before this became a cover-up. Believe me, this Army guy isn’t so self-righteous and virtuous that he would quit his post.
This is all about protecting the White House and the mistakes made in Libya.
