Holiday time on small screen

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
Pre- and post Thanksgiving best bets:

Tuesday

"Happy Endings" 9 p.m., ABC: Either this show is becoming more like "Friends" or this Thanksgiving episode -- in which the gang recalls how they met 10 years earlier -- is a parody. I fear the former but hope for the latter.

Wednesday

"Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" 8 p.m., ABC: Pretend you're at the Peanuts gang's holiday celebration by serving up your own popcorn, ice cream and toast.

"Chicago Fire" 10 p.m., NBC: A deep-fried turkey starts a fire.

Thursday

"Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" 8 p.m., ABC: It's the special so nice, they had to show it twice.

"Punkin Chunkin 2012" 6:30 p.m., Science: The "Mythbusters" B-team (Kari. Tory and Grant) hosts coverage of the annual event.

Friday

"Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown" 8 p.m., Fox: The plot of this cartoon -- the Peanuts gang tries to convince Linus to give up his security blanket -- is so much better than the rejected one based on that Beatles' White Album song.

"Frosty the Snowman" 8 p.m., CBS: Jimmy Durante narrates the Rankin/Bass Christmas classic.

"Frosty Returns" 8:30 p.m., CBS: Hey, he warned you that he'd be back again someday.

"Hoops & Yoyo Ruin Christmas" 9 p.m., CBS: The Hallmark card characters in time-traveling mischief.

"It's a SpongeBob Christmas!" 9:30 p.m., CBS: Fruitcake turns the denizens of Bikini Bottom into jerks.

Saturday

"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" 8 p.m., NBC: Harrison Ford and the kid from "Even Stevens" is the best I've got. Sorry.
