Festival of Trees
Mark your calendars. That annual signal that Christmas is near, the free community open house for Festival of Trees, is scheduled from noon until 8 p.m. on Nov. 28 at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Comcast Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave. in Everett.
In addition to seeing ornately decorated trees, there will be entertainment, visits with Santa and crafts for the kids.
College starts lecture series: Trinity Lutheran College is set to start a free lecture series tonight.
The new “Leadership Lecture Series: Changing and Shaping Culture” is planned to begin at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Rick Steves, who operates a European travel business in Edmonds. Trinity Lutheran College is at 2802 Wetmore Ave. For more information, go to www.tlc.edu/lectureseries.
Members sought for board: Snohomish County is seeking candidates to fill a vacancy on the Sno-Isle Libraries Board of Trustees. Library Board Trustees are responsible for setting policy, budget and overall direction for the two-county library district. To be qualified, an individual must live in Snohomish County. Applications must be submitted by Dec. 12. Olympic effort in Arlington: The Save the Olympic Theatre committee plans to meet at 6 tonight at the Local Scoop restaurant, 434 N.
