The Washington Traffic Safety Commission recently won an award for a documentary they made about traffic-safety improvements on the Colville Indian Reservation.
It’s not about our community, but it’s well made, and worth a watch, especially if you’re interested in traffic-safety or tribal policing issues.
The award was Best Industrial Film at the 37th annual American Indian Film Festival earlier this month in San Francisco, said commission spokeswoman MJ Haught, who also directed and produced the video.
“They have really done some amazing work to reduce traffic fatalities on the reservation,” she said.
