    Mount Index.

The Town of Index website is the brainchild of Ed Boress. After mulling it over on a summer's day in August 2007 and wondering what would happen if a site was built for the Town of Index. The audience was the people of the town and visitors looking for an out of the way place for a getaway, rock climbing, rafting or just enjoying a day in the park in our peaceful surroundings.

It was decided that the site should be a small portal into the life of the town. Now, we are also sharing some of that information here, on Heraldnet.com.

We currently boast about 3.2 million hits a year, which we never planned on. We also assist people and students in their endeavor to find loved ones as well as help in writing reports for school projects. Our town historian, David Cameron, PhD., is available at all times for the urgent matters.

Click here to see photos of small town life in one of the best kept secrets in the United States.

We thank you for stopping in.
