House fire in Bothell displaces three people

BOTHELL -- Three people were displaced by a house fire north of Bothell on Wednesday.
The fire broke out about 4:30 p.m. in a bedroom in the 19300 block of Second Avenue SE, in the North Creek area.
Crews put out the fire in about 20 minutes, said Leslie Hynes, a spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1. No injuries were reported.
Damage appeared to be limited to the bedroom. A resident who was home at the time told crews the fire appeared to start near a portable heater.
Crews were investigating Wednesday night. Firefighters also responded from Lynnwood.
The American Red Cross was assisting the victims.
