The Adopt A Stream Foundation plans to rent for $35 live Christmas trees between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Northwest Stream Center in Snohomish County's McCollum Park 600 128th St. SE, Everett, WA 98208. Driving directions are at www.streamkeeper.org/aasf/ Contact.html.
There will be more than 200 trees that include Sitka spruce, western red cedar and Douglas fir. Most trees will be 3- to 4-feet high. Directions on how to keep your trees live and healthy will be provided.
Live trees that are returned after the holidays to the Adopt A Stream Foundation will be planted in the new year next to salmon streams in the local area.
It's a good idea to get there early as it is first come, first serve. If you have any questions, call 425-316-8592.
