Arlington: Nativity Festival, 4 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, noon to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday Dec. 6 to 9 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 17222 43rd Ave NE; www.arlingtonnativityfestival.org. Everett: 12th annual Christmas Spectacular, 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Everett Civic Auditorium, 2416 Colby Ave.; featuring television anchor emcee Brian Tracey and musician Dehner Franks; watch a talent show and enjoy live music and entertainment. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets $15 online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/293084 or at the door. Supports Providence Children’s Center and the Volunteers of America food bank. Canned food donations accepted.

Everett: “Wintertide,” 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave.; 425-257-7101; www.enjoyEverett.org. Crafts, face painting, holiday photo booth, snacks, tree lighting, visit from Santa and showing of the 1966 animated special “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

“Holiday on the Bay”: The Port of Everett Christmas event includes free gingerbread cookie decorating for kids (register in advance at www.portofeverett.com) from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Waterfront Center, 1205 Craftsman Way, while “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” plays onscreen. The Christmas tree lighting program runs from 4 to 5 p.m. on the plaza outside the Waterfront Center, with hot cocoa and cider, and music by the 65-voice Mariner High School choir. The lighted boat parade will line up and take off for Mukilteo at 4:30 p.m. and return for viewing from 7 to 8 p.m. at the 12th Street dock.

The Kaddywompas Radio Show-Holiday Edition: 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 4 p.m. Dec. 2 at Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. Tickets are $15 or buy three, get one free; hosted by Tim Noah, this radio show experience includes live music, comedy, radio-style commercials and storytelling. Marysville: Merrysville for the Holidays and Electric Lights Parade, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave.; 360-363-8400; www.marysvillewa.gov. Food, bonfire and outdoor concert at 7 p.m. Parade begins at Marysville Municipal Court, 1015 State Ave.

Mill Creek: Santa is Coming to Town, Dec. 1; parade on Main Street at 3:30 p.m., community tree lighting 4:30 p.m. at City Hall, 15728 Main St.; 425-745-1891; www.millcreektowncenter.biz. Real reindeer, horse-drawn carriage rides, Dickens carolers, face painting, live music and cookie decorating.

Mountlake Terrace: Winterfest Breakfast Celebration, 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 8. at Mountlake Terrace High School, 21801 44th Ave West. A pancake breakfast, holiday music by groups from MTHS, plus surrounding local schools, crafters and pictures with Santa. $7 adults, $5 for students/seniors, free for children under 3 years old. Snohomish: Sippin’ and Shoppin’ holiday wine walk, 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 8 in Historic Downtown Snohomish; www.historicdowntownsnohomish.org. Bring your own glass. Tickets $10 in advance, $13 at door online or in person at locations around Snohomish. See website for details. Guests can enter an ugly sweater contest to win four passes to the 2013 Sunsets in Snohomish wine walk.

Stanwood: The Lights of Christmas: Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, 6 to 9, and 26 to 29; gates open at 5 p.m. and close at 10 p.m. at Warm Beach Camp, 20800 Marine Drive; holiday lights, treats, live music, storytelling and theater performances, nativity scene, petting farm, pony and train rides, meet Santa and Bruce the Talking Spruce; $9, $10 and $15, free for ages 3 and younger; 360-652-7575, 800-228-6724; www.warmbeachlights.com.

Seattle and beyond

Woodland Park Zoo’s Wildlights: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. through Jan. 1 at N. 50th Street and Fremont Avenue N., Seattle; 206-548-2500; www.zoo.org. Check out wild animals and settings made from LED lights, visit animals, including reindeer, ride the carousel (extra cost) and enjoy other live entertainment. Tickets for adults $8.50 through Dec. 13 and $9.50 beginning Dec. 14; $6.50 for ages 3 to 12 and free to ages 2 and younger throughout the event.

Point Defiance Zoolights: 5 to 9 p.m. through Jan. 1 at 5400 N. Pearl St., Tacoma; www.pdza.org. Tickets $4.25 for members, $8.50 for non-members at the gate or $7.25 online or at Fred Meyer stores. Value passes that include admission to the zoo during the day and zoolights at night available from $12.75 to $15.75.

Seattle Aquarium: Diving Santa, Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 23 at 1483 Alaskan Way, Pier 59, Seattle; www.seattleaquarium.org. Enjoy holiday music and watch Santa diving in the Window on Washington Waters exhibit at noon and 3 p.m.

Seattle Center Winterfest: Through Jan. 6; free; www.seattlecenter.com. Winterfest Ice Rink, Fisher Pavilion: admission includes skate rental: $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and $2 children ages 5 and younger; cash only; see www.seattlecenter.com for hours.

Dec. 1 to 29, Saturdays: Ice sculpting, starts at noon outside Fisher Pavilion.
