SEATTLE -- The National Weather Service says recent rains have increased the landslide danger in much of Western Washington.
Forecasters say a half-inch to more than 2 inches of rain fell Monday night, adding to the 2 to 5 inches of rain that fell in the lowlands in the past week.
The soaking has increased the landslide risk level to moderate.
The Weather Service says isolated landslides can be expected Tuesday and perhaps the rest of the week on steep slopes and bluffs.
