Let's all go to the lobby: To raise money for the Historic Everett Theatre, which needs to upgrade to digital projection, the theater is launching a Kickstarter campaign but also is auctioning a 22-year-old Twinkie on eBay that has been preserved in a wooden box by a theater volunteer and board member.

While this certainly is a good cause, you can easily dig up much older movie fare, such as popcorn, Lemonheads and Raisinets, from beneath the seats at any multiplex.

General Tso, meet Colonel Sanders: Yum Brands, the company behind KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, has announced plans to expand its chain of KFCs and Pizza Huts to more rural areas of the vast Asian nation. It already has 5,400 locations in China.

The American-style fast food has proved popular with Chinese patrons, despite the common complaint that you're always obese an hour after eating it.

Mad Santa: A mall in South Portland, Maine, has sacked its Santa after parents and children complained he was grumpy, rude and wouldn't let kids sit on his lap if parents declined to pay $20 for a photo.

Mitt Romney then threw down his Santa beard and told the parents if they were looking for gifts they needed to talk to Obama.
