TV chefs makeover done: Prohibition has gone Gastro
New Prohibition Gastro Pub serves Northwest food instead of Southern
It's among modifications by "Kitchen Nightmares" superstar chef Gordon Ramsay in this week's makeover of Prohibition Gastro Pub.

"Chef Ramsay forbade it," said Travis Lovestedt, the owner's son. "He said it didn't make sense to mix in that kind of entertainment."
Gone, too, are the collard greens, grits and all things Southern. The menu created by Ramsay is fishy.
The new name -- Gastro Pub replaced Grille -- is a British thing that combines food and spirits.
"He picked it," Lovestedt said. "There's a gastro pub in Seattle and now there's one in Everett."
The pub's interior received a face-lift that includes "new tablecloths, new drapery and new paint," he said. "We had it professionally cleaned."
Because of the major changes, the pub's reopening has been delayed until at least Monday, Lovestedt said, with dinner only served for possibly several weeks.
"It will have a shorter menu," he said. "Nothing from the previous menu. Everything will be fresh. The prices will be a lot more reasonable."
Pricey mediocre food was an issue thwarting the pub in its pre-Ramsay time.
About 50 people tried out the chef's new dishes Thursday night at a private party.
"It was amazing," Lovestedt said. "I don't like seafood and I liked everything he prepared."
As for Ramsay, whom locals have been pining to see ... they'll have to make do with the screen version.
"He has left the building," Lovestedt said, "and the state."
