EVERETT — The Everett AquaSox announced their coaching staff for the 2013 Northwest League season Thursday, and it returns almost completely intact.
Rob Mummau returns for his second straight season as Everett’s manager. He becomes the first individual to manage the Sox in back-to-back seasons since Pedro Grifol managed the team from 2003-05. Last season Mummau guided the Sox to a 46-30 record, winning the West Division’s first-half title.
Also returning from last season are pitching coach Rich Dorman and trainer Spyder Webb. Dorman will be spending his third season in Everett, having also served as pitching coach in 2010 before spending one season with Clinton of the mid single-A Midwest League. Webb returns for his 35th season with the Seattle Mariners’ Northwest League affiliate, including the past 18 with the Sox.
The only member of the 2012 staff not returning is coach Scott Steinmann, who will be coaching with Pulaski of the rookie Appalachian League. Santo Domingo will take Steinmann’s place in 2013. Domingo, who spent last season with Pulaski, will be in his first stint with the Sox.
