Up till now, chalkboard paint only came in traditional classroom black.

Benjamin Moore has come up with tintable chalkboard paint in any of their 3,300 colors or one you can think up one your own. Just bring a sample to the Moore store for color matching.

Ben's brand is a latex top coat with an eggshell finish, and it can go on walls, furniture, cupboard doors, even ceramic containers. You could make those trendy canisters with changeable chalkboard labels. Or transform a cute little toddler's tabletop (shown here) or a teenager's desk.

A quart costs about $21.99. Benjamin Moore paints are sold at Hatloe's in Everett, Ace Hardware stores, Marysville Paint, McDaniel's in Snohomish and Mallory paint stores. See www.benjaminmoore.com to find out more about it.
