Crews work to recover body in Stillaguamish River near Granite Falls

GRANITE FALLS -- A search and rescue crew was called Saturday evening to recover the body of a person discovered near the Stillaguamish River in the Granite Falls area.

The recovery effort was located near the 19500 block of Silverton Way, Snohomish County sheriff's Lt. Steve Dittoe said.

No other details about the investigation were expected to be released Saturday.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office is expected to determine the person's identity and cause of death.
