Vote for Girls Basketball Player of the Week
Eds. note: The Herald's Basketball Player of the Week is tallied by combining the winner of the fan voting along with votes by Herald staffers who attended games last week. Voting ends at 9 p.m. tonight.
Here's a look at the nominees:
Jacqueline Case, Mount Vernon Christian: The Hurricanes sophomore scored 17 points in a win over Seattle Lutheran and had 20 in a win over Lummi.
Grace Douglas, Lynnwood: The Royals guard scored a game-high 19 points in a win over Kamiak in Lynnwood's first 4A game of the season.
Monica Franke, Darrington: The Loggers junior post scored 12 points in a win over Bush and had eight in a win over Evergreen Lutheran.
Natalie Kasper, Edmonds-Woodway: The Warriors guard scored 32 points, 25 in the first half, as E-W beat Mountlake Terrace 61-50.
Sadie Mensing, Glacier Peak: The Grizzlies sophomore scored eight points in each of Glacier Peak's victories over rival Snohomish and Kamiak last week.
Brooke Pahukoa, Lake Stevens: The Vikings guard scored 40 points in a win over Marysville Pilchuck and had 17 in a win over Kentwood as the Vikings improved to 3-0.
Madison Pollock, Archbishop Murphy: The Wildcats post scored 18 points in a key conference win over Lakewood as the Wildcats improved to 2-1.
Masha Shtikel, Shorewood: The Thunderbirds senior guard averaged 22 points per game in wins over Sultan and crosstown rival Shorecrest.
Krista Showalter, Arlington: The Eagles guard scored 15 points in a win over Marysville Getchell and seven in a win over Monroe as Arlington remained unbeaten.
