ABERDEEN — The Grays Harbor sheriff’s office said a 16-year-old former foster child broke into a residence at Central Park, near Aberdeen, and took electronics, Christmas presents and stockings.
KXRO reported deputies tracked opened mail and Christmas packaging to a nearby residence where they found the 16-year-old along with two other boys, 13 and 14.
All three admitted taking mail to look for money in Christmas cards, but only the 16-year-old is suspected in the break-in.
He was held in the juvenile center for investigation of burglary and the two other teens were released to their guardians.
