Zoo's WildLight event includes parade of lighted strollers

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
Holiday lights, a parade and the zoo add up to a kid's kind of evening. Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo is holding an Illuminated Stroller Parade on Friday during their holiday WildLights event.

Deck out your stroller, wagon or other kid conveyance with lights, greenery, ornaments, even a little light-up Rudolph nose, and join others making their way to the Snowmazium.

Participants can start gathering at 5:30 p.m. near the zoo's carousel. The parade begins at 6:45.

Entrance fees to WildLights are $9.50 for adults, $6.50 for kids ages 3 to 12, and no charge for toddlers 2 and under. It's free to take part in the parade.

Other WildLights highlights include an ice sculptor, reindeer, rides on the historic carousel for an additional fee, strolling carolers and warm-winter refreshments for purchase.

WildLights is held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. daily through Jan. 1. Tickets are available online at www.zoo.org/wildlights, or in person at the zoo's west entrance only at the intersection of N. 50th Street and Phinney Avenue N., Seattle. It's a good idea to call first, 206-548-2500, to make sure it's not sold out. Parking is free Mondays through Thursdays.
