EDMONDS -- Detectives are asking for help finding a pickup driver who fled the scene after hitting and injuring a 15-year-old boy in the Esperance area.

The accident happened about 4:45 p.m. Monday along northbound 92nd Avenue W., Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

The passenger side mirror of a passing truck struck the boy, she said. He was taken to a local hospital and later released.

The impact broke off the truck's mirror, which police collected, Ireton said.

Detectives also reviewed footage of the area from a nearby surveillance camera.

They believe the truck was a Ford F150 pickup in a light color, maybe gold.

Anyone with information should call police at 425-388-3845.
