SILVERDALE — A 17-year-old girl who was struck while walking to school at Silverdale is in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg said she’s in the intensive care unit with significant injuries but should eventually recover.
Kitsap County sheriff’s deputy Scott Wilson told the Kitsap Sun the girl was walking to Olympic High School with her brother Wednesday when she was hit in a crosswalk near Fairview Junior High.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
