Folksy and funny musician Bronn Journey is back with his wife, Katherine, to present a Christmas concert of holiday songs and laughter.
This is Journey’s 31st season playing the harp for Snohomish County audiences. You can also hear this musical duo in Skagit County this year.
Journey is known for engaging his audience with jokes and casual banter and for providing symphony caliber music without any stuffiness.
Journey calls the concerts “casually elegant evenings” featuring music celebrating the joy of the Christmas season.
The concert presents music from many genres, but the highlight of the evening will be the traditional Christmas classics, according to press material about the concert.
This musical couple is also known for their virtuosity.
Bronn Journey holds a degree in harp performance from the University of Washington. Katherine Journey holds an undergraduate degree in music education from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, and a master’s degree in vocal performance from Arizona State University in Tempe.
Bronn and Katherine Journey’s Christmas Concert starts 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave, Everett.
