OLYMPIA -- A Washington State Patrol car was hit Wednesday night on I-5 at Olympia. It was the third time this week a trooper's car has been hit.

Trooper Guy Gill said a trooper had made a routine traffic stop about 10 p.m. when he was hit by a driver who didn't realize he was driving on the shoulder because his window was foggy.

No one was hurt.

Another patrol car was hit Tuesday night on Highway 8 in Thurston County by an SUV going too fast. The trooper was treated at a hospital for head, neck and shoulder pain.

And, a patrol car was rear-ended Wednesday morning on Highway 525 in Snohomish County by a pickup truck that lost control on a slushy roadway. No one was injured.
