EVERETT — Police are asking for help identifying a man who reportedly tried to grab a teenage girl near Silver Lake in October.
Everett investigators released a sketch of the suspect Friday in hopes of generating new leads, officer Aaron Snell said.
The incident was reported about 7 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 11800 block of 19th Ave SE, just east of the lake. Two teenage girls were walking in the area when they became separated, Snell said.
One of them reported seeing a man behind her who then tried to grab her arm. She ran away and called her parents, Snell said. Her parents then called police.
Officers searched the area with a police dog but couldn’t find the man.
The man was described as white, in his 40s or 50s, and about 5-foot-6. He had a husky build, short white hair and a beard. He was wearing a blue baseball hat, a dark blue t-shirt and light blue jeans.
No similar incidents have been reported, Snell said.
