Seahawks injury report; CB Walter Thurmond out again, but Marcus Trufant back

The Seahawks will be without cornerback Walter Thurmond for a third straight game because of a hamstring injury, but they are expecting to have veteran Marcus Trufant available for the first time in more than a month. Trufant, who has missed four games with a hamstring injury, was a full participant in practice all week and is listed as probable.

“Tru did well,” said Seahawks coach Pete Carroll. “He’s ready to play. It’s great to have him back.”

In regards to Thurmond, Carroll indicated that the corner may not make it back for next week’s playoff game either.

“It hasn’t been as smooth as we would like,” Carroll said. “He’s really been pushing, but he just hasn’t been able to get out of the discomfort on it. With a hamstring you’ve got to come back feeling nothing. You can’t be nursing it or you’re too vulnerable. He’s still feeling and that’s not a good sign for this week obviously, and it’s going to be hard for him to get back next week too I would think.”

Linebacker Leroy Hill is a question mark heading into the weekend with a hamstring injury. If he can’t play, Malcolm Smith would get the start at weakside linebacker.

“He’s still questionable,” Carroll said of hill. “We don’t know that yet. He ran yesterday some and today some to show that he can go. We’re not sure if he’s full speed or not until Saturday.”

Right tackle Breno Giacomini is listed as questionable, but he practiced Friday, and Carroll said that, other than Hill and Thurmond, “We’re counting on everybody else playing.”
