SEATTLE -- The Census Bureau closes its regional office in Seattle Friday as part of a national reorganization.

The Seattle Times reported that most of the 45 permanent workers have retired or found other jobs. Three were laid off.

Some Census offices are being closed as the agency moves to solicit more information from people through online surveys.
