COEUR D’ALENE — Four Glacier Peak players scored in double figures and the Grizzlies knocked off Coeur d’Alene 63-51 in the final of the Coeur d’Alene Inn-Vitational.
Dreu Vader led the way with 17 points, Ramsey Rosales scored 15, Zach Pederson had 12 and Austin Kiser chipped in with 10.
“We got balanced scoring over the week, other guys stepped up (besides Pederson),” said Grizzlies assistant coach Craig Davis. “Vader and Rosales each had a big tournament and played well.”
Leading by four at the half, Glacier Peak outscored the Vikings by 11 points in the third quarter to provide some cushion going into the final period. Davis pointed to the Grizzlies work on the boards and toughness as the key.
“We outrebounded them in the second half and limited them to one shot,” said Davis. “All the teams (in this tournament) were physical and we got used to the physicality.”
