Edmonds: Sign up for fitness classes
The Edmonds Parks and Recreation is offering new fitness classes — “Pachanga,” “Moving for a Better Balance” and “Crossfit Kids.”
“Pachanga” is a cardio dance party with Latin music taught in English and Spanish.
No dance experience required. The monthly sessions run from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursdays and cost $31 for residents, or $36 for non-residents.
The “Moving for Better Balance” class aims to improve balance and increase self-confidence in performing daily activities in the fall prevention program that uses the principles and movements of tai chi.
First sessions meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting next week, costing $82 for residents and $94 for non-residents.
The “Crossfit Kids” emphasizes movements done naturally when at play — running, jumping, climbing, throwing, pushing, pulling and lifts. The classes are for children ages 12 to 18. Classes are held from 3 to 3:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursday at CrossFit Industrious, 21619 Highway 99, Suite H.
The cost is $50. Registration is on the Edmonds Parks &Recreation at www.reczone.org or by calling 425-771-0230.
