Lighten a dark mood at free dance show

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
If the dark days are getting you down, let the MossyBack Morris Men boost you up.

The MossyBacks perform an ancient British ritual dance called the morris, and they'll be doing their colorful dancing from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Everett Public Library.

The group has been performing the traditional village dances, a blend of street and stage, since 1980.

The troupe will give a little history of the British tradition, which is designed to lighten spirits and celebrate the seasons.

The free event will be held in the Everett Public Library's main auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Call 425-257-8000 or see the library website, www.epls.org for more information.
