Lynnwood medical lab to lay off 59 workers

Pacific Physicians' Laboratory has notified the state that it plans to give layoff notices to 59 employees at its Lynnwood office.

The company has 15 locations around Western Washington, including two sites in Edmonds and one each in Arlington, Everett and Bothell.

The pathologist-owned lab provides a variety of medical testing services. The layoff notice, which was filed Wednesday with the Employment Security Department, is effective March 19.
