Edmonds Council selects Petso as president

EDMONDS -- Lora Petso is the new president of the Edmonds City Council.

The council elected Petso as president and Councilwoman Adrienne Fraley-Monillas as president-pro-tem Wednesday.

Petso, who replaces Councilman Strom Peterson as council president, joined the council by appointment in 2010 and won a full term in 2011. This is her second stint on the Council. She also is a member of the board of the Olympic View Water District.

Fraley-Monillas has been a member of the council since she won election in 2009.
