MARYSVILLE -- A 15-year-old Marysville-area boy was arrested and expelled from school Wednesday morning after allegedly bringing a cap gun on campus.

Marysville Pilchuck High School and two other schools were put in lockdown while police sorted out what was going on.

They received notice about 7 a.m. Wednesday that a student on a school bus had a gun and made threats to shoot students, Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.

The boy already had been dropped off at Mountain View High School. He was taken into custody without incident.

The boy reportedly had a cap gun "that looked very much like a real revolver," Lamoureux said.

The incident is being investigated by the school resource officer. The boy was expelled Wednesday, school district officials said.

The boy was expected to be booked into Denney Juvenile Justice Center for investigation of felony harassment.
