Not much in Snohomish County I am too excited about this weekend, but if you don’t mind a bit of a drive north or south then there are some great shows you should check out.
Friday: Hot Bodies in Motion with Eclectic Approach and The Grizzled Mighty are playing at the Wild Buffalo in Bellingham and it’s only $5. I think I might actually head north for this one tonight. More info here.
Saturday: Ben Union at The Crocodile Café in Seattle for his album release party. I have not been to a Ben Union show but his name has been flying around Seattle since he did a swan dive off the balcony at Neumos. Check the video of “The Jump” below and don’t forget, there is a balcony at The Croc too.
Sunday: Geographer with ON AN ON at The Barboza in Seattle for $10. San Fran’s Geographer is one of my favorite bands to see live. They just have a way of putting you in a trance when they perform, but in a good way. I have never seen ON AN ON but have been sort of falling love lately with the release of their singles “Ghosts” and “The Hunter.”
I think ON AN ON is going to be a pretty big deal really soon. Watch for their album Give In at the end of this month. Ticket info here.
