COUPEVILLE -- Two people were arrested in Renton on Wednesday night in connection with a shooting on Camano Island on Jan. 4.

Investigators on Thursday were waiting for Naji Moore-Taylor and Megan Failing, both 21 and from the Bothell area, to be transferred to Island County, sheriff's detective Ed Wallace said.

"We would like to thank everyone who assisted in locating these suspects," he said.

The victim, 29, was assaulted and shot at her home. She survived.

Moore-Taylor and Failing were expected to be booked into Island County Jail for investigation of first-degree burglary, first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping.

People may recognize Moore-Taylor as a former standout running back and defensive back on the Meadowdale High School football team. He was named to The Herald's 2008 and 2009 All-Area squads, and was a first-team defensive back on the 2009 Associated Press Class 3A All-State team.
