Catch a free flick at the library

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
A rainy (or snowy?) Sunday afternoon is a great time to hunker down in the library for a free movie.

The Everett Public Library's monthly offering Sunday is "The Piano in a Factory," a touching, award-winning Chinese movie about a father's efforts to keep custody of his daughter.

The daughter, a musician, has said she will choose the parent who can provide her with a piano. This begins the father's improbable quest to provide the instrument he cannot afford. He recruits his friends to help him make one from scraps of steel.

The film is not rated but is intended for adult audiences.

It will be shown from 2 to 4 p.m. in the library's main auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett.

Call 425-257-8000 or go to www.epls.org for more information.
