Future of local radio
KSER-FM 90.7 is an Everett-based independent public radio station and invites the public to a community meeting slated for 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Everett Public Library Auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave.
Participants will help identify community needs as the KSER Foundation plans for the future of locally focused public radio.
For more information call 425-303-9070 or email boardprez@kser.org.
Invasive plant party: A work party is planned for later this month at Howarth Park to dig out invasive blackerries and ivy.
It's scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 26. Learn more about the Green Everett Partnership while restoring the park's forest.
Meet at the middle parking lot at Howarth Park, 1127 Olympic Blvd., Everett. It's the second parking lot from the entrance off West Mukilteo Boulevard.
Come dressed to work in the weather -- rain or shine -- with sturdy shoes, rain jacket and warm layers. Bring a water bottle and/or coffee cup. Coffee, refreshments and light snacks, plus tools and work gloves, will be provided.
RSVP or for more information, contact Joanna Nelson de Flores, at greeneverett@forterra.org 425-238-0065.
People who can't make the work party can contribute by baking cookies or donating snacks in advance or just spreading the word.
