EVERETT -- A woman in her 50s was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on Saturday for investigation of manslaughter.
Deputies from the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office were called to assist an aid crew in the 12100 block of Highway 99 south of Everett around 12:45 a.m. Saturday.
Officers were told CPR was in progress and that there were sounds of a disturbance in the background, Lt. Kathi Lang said Sunday.
When deputies arrived, they encountered several intoxicated adults, Lang said.
A man believed to be in his 50s was taken to Swedish/Edmonds hospital where he died.
The woman was arrested and booked into the county jail for investigation of second-degree manslaughter.
The suspect and victim apparently were in a dating relationship, Lang said.
The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office.
