Woman released after being jailed in boyfriend's death
EVERETT -- A south Everett woman was ordered released from jail Monday while police investigate the death of her boyfriend.
The man, 51, was found unresponsive at the woman's home early Saturday morning after the two reportedly got into a struggle, according to the arrest report. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The man's name was not released Monday. His cause of death remains under investigation.
Police were called about 12:45 a.m. Saturday to the woman's mobile home off the 12100 block of Highway 99, south of Everett.

Several people were at the home at the time, police wrote in their report. The witnesses all reportedly had been drinking heavily and smoking marijuana. They gave conflicting accounts of what happened.
The woman, 50, was arrested and booked Saturday for investigation of second-degree manslaughter. She appeared in Everett District Court on Monday.
Witnesses reportedly told police the woman had been upset about the man's ex-girlfriend being at the home. The couple went into the back of the trailer and began arguing.
Witnesses said they later found the woman on top of the man after an apparent struggle. The man was unresponsive and 911 was called.
Witnesses reportedly told police that the man suffered significant medical issues, including heart problems.
The woman, whose blood-alcohol level later tested at nearly six times the legal limit, reportedly told detectives she doesn't remember what happened.
Both the woman and the man appeared to have recent cuts and bruises, possibly from a struggle, police wrote.
The woman has a felony conviction, but that was more than 10 years ago, her public defender said in court Monday.
Upon release, she was ordered to have no contact with the witnesses.
The Snohomish County sheriff's Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
