Shorewood | Boys basketball
The Thunderbirds post scored 34 points in an overtime win over Oak Harbor and 33 in win over Marysville Getchell as Shorewood remained in a tie for first place in Wesco 3A South with Mountlake Terrace.
Counting the votes: Tulalip Heritage's DJ Kidd won the fan vote. Herald prep editor Aaron Swaney and Herald writers Aaron Lommers and Rich Myhre voted for Hawkinson. Herald writer David Krueger voted for Marquis Armstead
Tristan Murphy
Stanwood | Girls basketball
The Spartans post scored 23 points and hit two free throws to send the game into overtime as the Spartans came from behind to beat Mountlake Terrace. Murphy also had 14 points in a win over Glacier Peak as Stanwood went 2-0 last week.
Counting the votes: Tulalip Heritage's Katia Brown won the fan vote. Swaney, Lommers, Krueger and Myhre all voted for Murphy.

Snohomish | Wrestling
The Panthers 138-pounder dominated his weight class at the Marysville Premier wrestling tournament, winning three of his four matches by pin and leading the Panthers to a team title. Eagle also pinned Champ Barney to help Snohomish beat Arlington 59-9 earlier in the week.

Kamiak | Boys swimming
The Knights swimmer set a school record in the 500-yard freestyle, recording a time of 4 minutes, 48.73 seconds to break the previous record held since 2005 by Thayer Trotter.
