BOISE, Idaho -- Police say seven children from Nampa on a field trip to Boise have been taken to local hospitals after a vehicle slammed into the back of their school bus Friday morning.
Police say 26 children were on the bus and that six were transported to hospitals by ambulance, and a seventh by a parent. Police say none of the children's injuries appeared serious.
Police say a 72-year-old woman driving a Toyota Camry wasn't injured. She was cited for a making an improper turn.
Authorities say the bus was carrying seventh-graders from Sage Valley Middle School returning to Nampa after a visit to the Discovery Center of Idaho.
