Oprah’s dope doping

Pedal pusher: Oprah Winfrey’s interview with controversial cyclist Lance Armstrong, who nibbled around the edges of a full confession that he used performance-enhancing drugs to win cycling titles and medals, drew a total of 4.3 million viewers Thursday night on Oprah’s OWN cable network. The interview, the second part of which aired Friday night, was a boost for OWN, which has struggled to attract viewers.

Competitors on ESPN, Fox, CNN and others immediately criticized OWN for using a ratings-enhancing drug user to win its time slot.

I’m Ben; Fly me: Officials at San Diego’s Lindberg Field airport are responding to a rat problem after airport workers reported seeing several in terminal halls, shops and a restaurant.

Screeners with the Transportation Security Administration said they had seen the rats, too, but let them go because they weren’t carrying gels or liquids and had taken off their shoes.

Don’t know much about history: On this day in 1953, CBS aired the episode of “I Love Lucy,” in which Lucy gives birth to Little Ricky.

The episode featured the famous line, “Lucy, ju have some ‘splaining to do,” when husband Ricky learns Lucy forgot to take her performance-enhancing birth control pill.
