New online gift registries can group many stores

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
Here comes the gifts!

Wedding couples no longer have to arm wrestle over where to register.

With centralized online gift registries, they can put items from hundreds of stores around the world on one list. It's an easy click-and-ship process.

Gifts can also be out of the box, such as money, plane tickets, horseback riding lessons, a romantic dinner or a donation to a favorite charity.

Registries vary. Most are free. Some charge a fee for cash gifts.

And yes, there's an app for it.

The centralized registries are also for birthdays, graduations -- and baby showers.

Registries include www.myregistry.com; www.giftregistry360.com.
