PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland police are investigating an armed robbery at a licensed medical marijuana growing operation.

They say two male suspects approached a man on the back porch of a house in the Montavilla neighborhood and one struck him with a handgun. Both went inside as a woman at the house hid in the bathroom.

They got away with multiple pounds of processed marijuana and fled in a car with two other people in it.

The man who was pistol-whipped was transported to a Portland hospital. His injuries were not life threatening.
