The Kings are dead: Several sources, including ESPN.com, were reporting that a deal has been reached that would bring the Sacramento Kings to Seattle, restoring the NBA to Seattle after the Sonics were sold and moved to Oklahoma City.

And so the circle of sporting life is complete and Seattle fans can now bask in the same shame of benefiting from another city's loss that Oklahoma City has enjoyed in recent years.



You lick me; you really lick me: The Sundance Film Festival, known for elevating independent films, is now branching out into a new realm: Internet cat videos. Sundance hosted a night of cat-centric films called Catdance. Winning films were presented a golden litter scoop.

The star of the winning cat video paused during her acceptance speech to lick and groom herself, but audience members considered it still more entertaining and less confusing than Jodie Foster's Golden Globes speech the week before.



On the rocks: Three bottles of rare 19th century Scotch left by explorer Ernest Schackleton more than 100 years ago at his Antarctic expedition base have been returned to the polar continent and Schackleton's historic hut.
