Family escapes blaze in Bothell; $50K in damage

BOTHELL -- A Bothell-area family escaped injury Tuesday after a fire in their home along 200th Place SE.
The fire was reported about 10 p.m., Bothell fire spokeswoman Lisa Allen said.
The family's smoke alarms went off, and they went outside, she said. Crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the garage.
They quickly extinguished the fire, she said. Damage was limited to the garage and two vehicles inside. The loss was estimated at $50,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
