Attempted robbery in Lynnwood linked to Dec. 21 heist

LYNNWOOD -- An apparent attempted robbery at a Lynnwood bank Friday night could be related to other holdups in town, according to police.
Just before 6 p.m. Friday, a man tried the door at the Prime Pacific Bank at 2502 196th Street SW. For some reason he pulled out a stun gun.
"It was locked, and he sparked a stun gun then ran away," Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said Tuesday.
Police searched the area but did not locate a suspect.
Witnesses' description of the man appears to match the suspect from a Dec. 21 robbery, Sessions said.
In that case, a man entered the same bank armed with a stun gun. He passed a note to the teller and ran away with cash.
The investigation is ongoing.
