Front Porch: Explore county history in new Herald ‘Time Travel’ blog

Take a look back
"Time Travels," a new Herald blog exploring Snohomish County's history, was launched Tuesday with a look back at the big snow of 1916. Written by Julie Muhlstein and other Herald staff members, "Time Travels" will share stories and photos, and recall how the newspaper covered events of the past. Find "Time Travels" at www.heraldnet.com/timetravels. If there's a photo or story you'd like us to consider, email Julie Muhlstein at muhlstein@heraldnet.com.

WorkSource hosts healthcare job fair: WorkSource Snohomish County will hold a medical job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 31 at its Everett Station location, 3201 Smith Ave. in the fourth-floor Weyerhauser Room.

The fair will feature employers with available jobs from retirement homes, private practices, in-home health service providers and hospitals. Attendees should dress professionally, come ready to interview, and bring several copies of their resumes. A computer lab will be available during the fair to complete online job applications.
This event is free and open to the public. Register at http://healthcarejobfair.eventbrite.com.
