KELSO — A man wanted in a sex trafficking case in Seattle was arrested Tuesday at the Amtrak station in Kelso.
KLOG reported that Longview police and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Tariq Silas Shabazz, 28.
He’s held for investigation of kidnapping, robbery and attempted human trafficking.
He’s accused of attempting to kidnap a 23 year-old Seattle woman in January of last year and threatening to kill her or force her into prostitution.
The woman escaped by jumping from a moving car and suffered a severe head injury.
A second suspect in the case was arrested earlier this month in King County but was released pending further investigation.
